The company specialized in image-based processing for payments (such as check processing under Check 21 regulations), accounts receivable, and long-term records management. Their cloud platform was designed to help businesses, particularly financial institutions, to digitize, automate, and streamline paper-intensive processes, reducing costs and improving efficiency. In 2014, eGistics was acquired by Top Image Systems (TIS), and TIS was subsequently acquired by Kofax in 2019, integrating its technologies into the Kofax product suite.
