Founded in 1994, El Colegio de la Frontera Sur (ECOSUR) is a public research institution coordinated by Mexico's National Council of Humanities, Sciences, and Technologies (CONAHCYT). Its mission is to contribute to the sustainable development of Mexico's southern border through scientific research, postgraduate education, and community engagement. The institution focuses on complex socio-environmental systems, addressing topics such as biodiversity conservation, agroecology, health, migration, and water management.
