The company raised funds from the public by issuing debentures and other investment products, which it then used to provide property development and commercial loans. Established as a key player in the NZ finance sector, it fell into receivership and subsequent liquidation in 2008 amidst the global financial crisis and a wave of local finance company failures, resulting in significant losses for thousands of its investors.
