Originally established as Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Northeastern Indiana, this non-profit organization was dedicated to helping individuals and families resolve financial problems and achieve financial stability. Their core services included confidential budgeting advice, debt management plans, bankruptcy counseling, and community financial literacy education. In 2012, the organization merged with Community Action of Northeast Indiana (CANI), which later rebranded to Brightpoint in 2015. The merger allowed for the continuation and expansion of financial wellness services under the Brightpoint umbrella, which serves the community with a broader range of programs aimed at removing the causes and conditions of poverty.
