Commonwealth Bank & Trust Company was a Louisville, Kentucky-based financial institution founded in 1982. It operated as a community bank offering a full range of services, including personal and business banking, mortgage lending, and comprehensive wealth management and trust services. With a mission focused on client relationships and community involvement, it grew to serve the Louisville, Shelbyville, and Northern Kentucky markets. In May 2019, Commonwealth Bank & Trust Company was acquired by and merged into WesBanco Bank, Inc., a larger regional bank, expanding WesBanco's presence in Kentucky. All former Commonwealth Bank & Trust operations now function under the WesBanco brand.
