Citco Community Bancshares, Inc. was a Florida-based bank holding company for Citrus and Chemical Bank. Established in 1998, the company focused on providing a full range of banking and financial services to individuals and businesses in Polk County and surrounding areas in Central Florida. It operated through a network of approximately 23 branch offices, building a reputation as a local community bank. On March 1, 2007, the company was officially acquired by United Community Banks, Inc. and its operations were merged into the acquirer's structure.
