Founded in 2007, Chi-X Europe Ltd. rapidly grew to become the largest pan-European equity trading venue, challenging traditional stock exchanges with its high-speed, low-cost electronic trading platform. As a multilateral trading facility (MTF), it offered trading in thousands of stocks across more than 15 major European markets. In June 2021, Cboe Global Markets completed its acquisition of Chi-X Europe, integrating its operations and technology. The entity is now fully rebranded and operates as Cboe Europe, part of Cboe's global network of securities and derivatives exchanges, continuing its mission to provide an efficient, transparent, and innovative marketplace for European equities and derivatives.
