Established in 2016 and based in the Netherlands, BRAC International Holdings B.V. (BIHBV) is a social enterprise that functions as the governing body for BRAC's operations outside of Bangladesh. Its mission is to empower people and communities in situations of poverty, illiteracy, disease, and social injustice. BIHBV manages a diverse portfolio of entities across Asia and Africa, focusing on two main pillars: microfinance, providing financial services to the unbanked, and social enterprises, which include programs in health, education, agriculture, and youth empowerment. All profits generated are reinvested back into the organization's development programs to further its social mission.
