BBVA Open Platform
Information by Research Trustfinance
BBVA Open Platform was a US-based Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) provider launched by BBVA USA. Its mission was to allow fintechs, startups, and established brands to leverage BBVA's regulated banking infrastructure through a suite of APIs. The platform offered services such as identity verification, account origination, money movement via ACH and wires, and card issuing. This enabled companies to embed financial products directly into their customer experiences. In 2021, PNC Financial Services Group acquired BBVA USA, and the BBVA Open Platform technology and services have since been integrated into PNC's Corporate & Institutional Banking offerings and its developer portal.
