Established in 1990 through a partnership of 13 public and private Turkish banks, Bankalararası Kart Merkezi (Interbank Card Center of Turkey) is responsible for developing and managing the rules, regulations, and infrastructure for card payment systems in Turkey. BKM's mission is to provide a seamless, fast, and secure payment processing platform, facilitating interoperability between all card issuers and acquirers in the country. It is also the operator and developer of TROY, Turkey's first and only domestic card payment scheme, and BKM Express, a digital wallet solution.
