Founded on March 12, 1995, Bank of Kathmandu Limited (BOKL) was a leading 'A' class commercial bank in Nepal, offering a comprehensive suite of financial products and services to its retail, corporate, and institutional customers. The bank was known for its personal and business banking solutions, including deposits, loans, trade finance, and digital banking services. On January 9, 2023, Bank of Kathmandu Limited officially merged with Global IME Bank Limited, creating the largest commercial bank in Nepal in terms of capital, assets, and branch network. All operations, assets, and liabilities of Bank of Kathmandu have been integrated into the new entity, which now operates under the name "Global IME Bank Limited".
