bancomer transfer services
Information by Research TrustFinance
Originally a service of Grupo Financiero Bancomer, one of Mexico's largest banks, Bancomer Transfer Services (BTS) was a leading remittance provider, facilitating billions of dollars in money transfers, especially from the United States to Mexico. In 2000, Spanish banking giant Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) acquired Bancomer. For many years, the bank operated as BBVA Bancomer. In 2019, as part of a global brand unification strategy, the "Bancomer" name was officially dropped, and the entity now operates as BBVA México. The legacy money transfer services are now fully integrated into BBVA's broader portfolio of national and international payment and remittance solutions, leveraging its extensive network of branches, ATMs, and digital banking platforms.
