Founded in 1926, Banco Agromercantil de Guatemala has a long history of serving the Guatemalan market. The bank, as it exists today, was formed through the merger of Banco Agrícola and Banco Mercantil. It provides a full suite of financial products and services, including personal and business banking, loans, credit cards, investments, and insurance. Since 2013, BAM has been a key part of Grupo Bancolombia, one of the largest financial conglomerates in Latin America, which has allowed it to enhance its technological capabilities and expand its service offerings.
