Founded in 1946, the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) was a prominent professional body dedicated to supporting and representing financial advisers across Australia. Its mission focused on enabling access to high-quality financial advice for all Australians by providing its members with advocacy, professional development, and a strong community network. On April 1, 2023, the AFA merged with the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) to form the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA), creating a single, unified voice for the financial advice profession.
