Founded in 1891 and chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1912, the American Numismatic Association (ANA) is one of the largest non-profit numismatic organizations in the world. Its mission is to advance the appreciation of coins, currency, medals, tokens, and related objects through education, community, and advocacy. The ANA provides a wide range of services including publishing its monthly magazine "The Numismatist," hosting conventions, offering educational seminars, and operating the Edward C. Rochette Money Museum and a numismatic library at its headquarters in Colorado.
