Established in 1966, the Asian Development Bank is a regional development bank committed to achieving a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific. It assists its members and partners by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development. Owned by 68 members—49 from the region—ADB's main instruments of assistance are policy dialogue, financial resources, and knowledge sharing to support projects in sectors such as infrastructure, health, education, and financial systems.
