Lihtec Funding

Lihtec is a capital funding platform that sources directly from socially-minded investors utilizing digital marketing and distribution to lower transaction costs. The platform primarily markets interests in Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), but will also offer opportunities to provide grants in lieu of equity and hard debt. Lihtec was founded by James Grove in March 2014 and is based in Evanston, Illinois. The company was started by executives in the real estate capital markets, technology and affordable housing industries seeking to disrupt the current investment oligarchy in affordable housing by providing transparency and accessibility to what was once reserved to banks and tax credit investment funds.
