International Financial Data Services (IFDS)

International Financial Data Services (IFDS) was established as a 50/50 joint venture between State Street Corporation, a global financial services provider, and DST Systems (now part of SS&C Technologies), a provider of information processing and software. For over two decades, IFDS was a market leader in providing transfer agency, record-keeping, and business process outsourcing services for a wide range of financial institutions, including asset managers and insurance companies. In 2017, State Street acquired the 50% of IFDS it did not already own in its UK, Ireland, and Luxembourg-based businesses. The remaining North American operations of the joint venture were part of DST Systems, which was subsequently acquired by SS&C Technologies in 2018. As a result, the standalone IFDS entity no longer exists, and its former operations are now integrated within State Street and SS&C Technologies.
