Epiphyte

Founded in 2013, Epiphyte aimed to revolutionize international payments by leveraging blockchain technology. The company developed a SaaS platform called C-BEX (Cross-Border-Exchange) that enabled banks and financial institutions to connect to distributed ledgers for real-time, transparent settlement, bypassing traditional correspondent banking systems. Their mission was to make global payments faster, cheaper, and more secure. In May 2019, the company's team and technology were acquired by the enterprise blockchain software firm R3, and its operations were subsequently integrated into R3's offerings.
