Down to Shop

Down to Shop was a venture-backed startup founded by former Facebook employees, launching in 2021. Its mobile application aimed to replicate the social experience of in-person shopping by allowing users to co-browse e-commerce sites with friends via integrated video chat. The platform, often compared to a modern-day QVC, enabled real-time interaction and shared shopping sessions. Despite initial funding and media attention, the company ceased operations in October 2021.
