Founded in 2017 by Robert O. Carr, Beyond aimed to simplify payments and business operations for small and medium-sized business owners. The company's mission was to provide a transparent and fair partnership, offering a comprehensive suite of services including credit card processing, point-of-sale (POS) systems, payroll and HR services, and lending. Beyond distinguished itself with a promise of transparent pricing and a focus on community support through its "Give Back Program." In 2019, the company was acquired by Shift4 Payments, a leading provider of integrated payment processing solutions, and its services and team were integrated into the Shift4 brand.
