Australian Food Super (AFS) was an industry superannuation fund established to serve the retirement needs of employees in Australia's food, beverage, grocery, and hospitality industries. For over three decades, it focused on providing superannuation products, insurance, and retirement planning services tailored to its specific member base. On 28 October 2022, Australian Food Super completed a merger with Hostplus, another prominent industry super fund with strong ties to the hospitality, tourism, and recreation sectors. The merger aimed to leverage greater scale to reduce costs, enhance investment opportunities, and improve services for all members, who are now part of the larger Hostplus fund.
