Founded in 2015 and based in Paris, Alphametry operated as a marketplace for institutional financial research. The company's mission was to provide a transparent and efficient ecosystem for asset managers to discover, evaluate, and procure research from a global network of independent analysts. The platform was designed specifically to help the financial industry adapt to the European Union's MiFID II regulations, which required the "unbundling" of payments for research from trading commissions. In October 2019, Alphametry was acquired by FactSet, a global provider of integrated financial information and analytical applications. Alphametry's technology and analyst network have since been integrated into the FactSet platform.
