Originally launched in 2017 by ING as a popular consumer-facing smart money management app, Yolt grew to several million users. In late 2021, the company announced a strategic pivot to focus exclusively on its B2B open banking technology arm, Yolt Technology Services (YTS). The consumer Yolt app was officially closed in December 2021. Today, Yolt leverages its expertise and technology to provide other businesses with powerful open banking APIs for services like account information aggregation and payment initiation, enabling them to build their own financial products and services.
