Founded in 1847, The Canada Life Assurance Company is Canada's first domestic life insurance company. It provides a wide range of insurance and wealth management products and services, including life, health, and disability insurance, as well as retirement and investment solutions like segregated funds and mutual funds. On January 1, 2020, The Great-West Life Assurance Company, London Life Insurance Company, and The Canada Life Assurance Company amalgamated into a single company, now operating as The Canada Life Assurance Company. It is a subsidiary of Great-West Lifeco and a member of the Power Corporation of Canada group of companies.
