Founded in 1962, The Blood Connection is an independently managed, non-profit community blood center. Its mission is to ensure a safe and uninterrupted blood supply for hospital partners and the communities it serves. The organization collects blood donations from volunteers, processes and tests the blood, and distributes the life-saving products to healthcare facilities within its service area. As a community-based blood center, all donations made through The Blood Connection directly support local hospitals and patients.
