Established in 1972, the Teachers Savings and Loan Society Limited (TISA) is the largest and one of the oldest savings and loan societies in Papua New Guinea. Initially created to serve the financial needs of teachers, it has since expanded its membership base to include employees from various sectors. TISA's core mission is to promote financial security for its members by providing affordable and accessible financial services, including various savings accounts, personal loans, and insurance products. The society is regulated by the Bank of Papua New Guinea and is currently in the process of becoming a fully-fledged commercial bank, TISA Bank.
