Founded in 2011, Symbid was one of the world's first equity crowdfunding platforms, with a mission to simplify and democratize private equity investing. Headquartered in the Netherlands, it enabled startups and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to raise capital from a broad network of retail and professional investors. In November 2022, Symbid was acquired by the pan-European investment platform SeedBlink. Following the acquisition, the Symbid platform has ceased accepting new funding campaigns as its services and operations are being integrated into the SeedBlink ecosystem.
