Founded by Joselito Lizarondo, Swipe was a multi-asset digital wallet and Visa debit card platform designed to bridge the gap between cryptocurrencies and traditional fiat financial systems. Its mission was to make cryptocurrencies spendable in real-time at millions of locations worldwide. The platform included the Swipe Wallet, which allowed users to buy, sell, and store various digital assets, and the Swipe Visa Card. In July 2020, Swipe was acquired by the major cryptocurrency exchange Binance, and its technology and services have since been integrated into the Binance ecosystem, primarily powering the Binance Card. The standalone Swipe wallet and card services were officially discontinued and migrated to Binance.
