Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Pompano Beach, Florida, Stonegate Bank was a community bank serving businesses and individuals primarily in South and West Florida. The bank grew through both organic expansion and acquisitions, offering a comprehensive suite of products including commercial and industrial loans, commercial and residential real estate loans, and deposit services. Notably, Stonegate Bank gained international recognition as one of the first U.S. financial institutions to establish a correspondent banking relationship with Cuba, facilitating authorized transactions between the two countries. In September 2017, Stonegate Bank was acquired by Centennial Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Home BancShares, Inc., and all of its operations were merged into Centennial Bank.
