The SME Impact Fund is a dedicated investment fund managed by the alternative lender Growth Lending. Its mission is to provide flexible debt finance, typically between £1 million and £10 million, to support the growth of UK-based SMEs. The fund has a dual objective: generating commercial returns for its investors while also creating a measurable, positive social and economic impact, primarily through job creation in underserved regions of the UK. Launched in 2021, the fund is backed by British Business Investments (a commercial subsidiary of the British Business Bank) and other private institutional investors.
