Founded in 2015 in Montreal, Canada, Simplyk's mission was to make digital fundraising technology accessible to all non-profit organizations, regardless of their size or budget. The company offered a comprehensive suite of tools, including donation forms, peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns, event ticketing, and volunteer management, entirely free of platform fees. Instead of charging nonprofits, Simplyk operated on a voluntary tipping model where donors could add an optional contribution to support the platform. In March 2022, Simplyk was acquired by Benevity, a leading provider of corporate purpose software, and its services are now being integrated into the Benevity platform to support small-to-mid-sized nonprofits.
