Founded in 1992 and formerly headquartered in Appleton, Wisconsin, SII Investments, Inc. operated as a full-service, independent broker-dealer. It was part of the National Planning Holdings (NPH) network, which was the broker-dealer subsidiary of Jackson National Life Insurance Company. SII provided a platform for independent financial professionals to offer a wide range of financial products and services, including mutual funds, stocks, bonds, insurance, and retirement planning, to retail clients across the United States. In August 2017, LPL Financial announced its acquisition of the NPH network, including SII Investments. The transition of advisors and client assets was completed in 2018, and SII Investments, Inc. ceased to operate as an independent entity, with its operations fully integrated into LPL Financial.
