Founded in 2010 by Roberto Chame, Redelcom was established to simplify payment acceptance for merchants of all sizes across Chile. The company developed its own point-of-sale (POS) technology, offering terminals that accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as other payment methods, without rental fees or mandatory sales goals. In 2021, Redelcom was acquired by the Latin American e-commerce giant Mercado Libre to strengthen its digital payments ecosystem. Redelcom continues to operate as a distinct brand, focusing on providing affordable and versatile payment solutions to enhance financial inclusion for Chilean businesses.
