Founded in 1973, the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) is a member-based organization dedicated to protecting the rights and promoting the interests of small-business truck drivers and professional truckers. With over 150,000 members across the United States and Canada, OOIDA advocates on behalf of its members at all levels of government, working to influence legislation and regulations that affect the trucking industry.
