NZCU Baywide was a 100% member-owned credit union in New Zealand with a history spanning over 50 years. It focused on providing ethical and community-focused financial services, including personal loans, home loans, vehicle finance, savings accounts, term deposits, and insurance. As a cooperative, its profits were returned to members through better rates and lower fees. In October 2020, NZCU Baywide merged with four other credit unions (ACU, NZCU Central, NZCU South, and Westforce Credit Union) to form a single, national credit union named "Unity". The goal of the merger was to create a stronger, more sustainable entity capable of offering enhanced digital services and a wider range of products to members across New Zealand.
