Established in 2015 under the guidance of the Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) and in cooperation with local banks, Myanmar Payment Solution Services (MPSS) operates the country's National Payment Switch. Its mission is to create a modern, secure, and interoperable retail payment system for Myanmar. MPSS facilitates a wide range of electronic transactions, including ATM and POS switching, e-commerce payment services, and interbank clearing and settlement, connecting member financial institutions across the nation.
