Joint Stock Company "Mortgage Refinancing Company of Uzbekistan" (UzMRC) was established in 2019 by a Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the Ministry of Finance as its founder. The company's primary mission is to act as a key operator in the country's secondary mortgage market. It accomplishes this by purchasing long-term mortgage loan portfolios from commercial banks, thereby providing them with the necessary liquidity to issue more affordable and longer-term housing loans to the public. UzMRC finances its operations by issuing its own corporate bonds on the local capital market, contributing to the overall development of Uzbekistan's financial ecosystem.
