Incorporated in 2008, Metropolitan Clearing Corporation of India Ltd. (MCCIL) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India Ltd. (MSE). It is recognized as a Clearing Corporation by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). MCCIL's primary mission is to provide secure and efficient central counterparty (CCP) services, including clearing, settlement, and risk management for various segments of the Indian capital markets, such as currency derivatives, interest rate derivatives, equity cash, and equity derivatives. By acting as the CCP, MCCIL guarantees the settlement of all trades, mitigates counterparty risk, and ensures the stability and integrity of the financial market it serves.
