Founded in 1874 in London, Ontario, the London Life Insurance Company grew to become one of Canada's largest life insurance providers. The company offered a comprehensive range of financial products and services, including life, disability, and critical illness insurance, as well as wealth management, retirement savings, and investment solutions. In 1997, it was acquired by Great-West Life. On January 1, 2020, London Life, Great-West Life, and their subsidiary Canada Life officially merged to operate under a single brand, The Canada Life Assurance Company, which now manages all of London Life's historic policies and services.
