Johns Hopkins Smart Woman Securities (JHU SWS) is a chapter of the national Smart Woman Securities organization, a not-for-profit founded in 2006 at Harvard University. The organization's mission is to educate undergraduate women on finance and investing. The JHU chapter accomplishes this through a structured 10-week seminar series covering topics from valuation to portfolio management, mentorship programs, guest lectures from industry professionals, and hands-on experience managing a real-money investment portfolio. The goal is to create a supportive community that empowers women to achieve financial independence and pursue careers in the financial industry.
