Established in 1984, Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited (HSIL) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hang Seng Bank. Its mission is to serve the investment community by providing a comprehensive series of market benchmarks. HSIL calculates and manages the world-renowned Hang Seng Index and a wide range of other stock and bond indexes. These indexes are used by financial institutions and investors globally for benchmarking, performance measurement, and as the underlying basis for various investment products such as exchange-traded funds (ETFs), futures, and options.
