Founded in 1991, Grupo Financiero Desyfin was a Costa Rican financial group regulated by the SUGEF (General Superintendence of Financial Entities). The company established itself as a key financial partner for the SME sector in Costa Rica, offering a specialized portfolio of services including business loans, international trade financing, factoring, leasing, and time-deposit investments. In May 2023, it was announced that Grupo Financiero Desyfin would be acquired by Corporación CS. The merger process was finalized in February 2024, with Desyfin's operations and clients being fully integrated into Banco CS, S.A., effectively dissolving the Desyfin brand.
