Founded in 1996 as Visto, the company rebranded to Good Technology and became a leader in the enterprise mobility management (EMM) and mobile device management (MDM) space. Its core mission was to enable secure mobile productivity by creating an encrypted "container" on an employee's device, which separated corporate data and applications from personal ones. This allowed businesses to manage and protect their information without controlling the entire device. In November 2015, Good Technology was acquired by BlackBerry for $425 million, and its products and technologies were subsequently integrated into the BlackBerry Enterprise Software portfolio.
