Established in 1998, Fondo Gomma Plastica is a non-profit, defined-contribution supplementary pension fund created through a national collective bargaining agreement. Its mission is to manage the pension contributions of its members, investing them in financial markets to provide retirement benefits that supplement the public pension system. The fund serves employees in the Italian rubber, electric cables, and plastics sectors, operating under the supervision of the Italian pension fund authority, COVIP.
