Founded in 1967, the Fundação de Assistência e Previdência Social do BNDES (FAPES) is a non-profit, closed private pension entity (EFPC). Its primary mission is to administer and manage pension and health plans for the employees and their families of its sponsors: the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), BNDES Participações S.A. (BNDESPAR), and FAPES itself. As an institutional investor, FAPES manages a significant portfolio of assets to ensure the long-term solvency of its benefit plans, contributing to the financial security and well-being of its participants and beneficiaries in their retirement.
