Its core service involved ranking thousands of the world's largest companies based on their greenhouse gas emissions and disclosure practices, which was used to create climate-themed financial indexes and analytical tools for asset managers. In 2019, the company and its methodologies were acquired by State Street, and its data and services have since been integrated into State Street's existing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investment solutions.
