Established in 1995 as the Doha Securities Market (DSM), the exchange officially commenced operations in May 1997. Its primary mission is to support Qatar's economy by providing a transparent and efficient marketplace for capital raising and the trading of securities. In June 2009, following a strategic partnership with NYSE Euronext, the Doha Securities Market was rebranded to the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE). The QSE is the sole platform for trading stocks and other securities in Qatar, serving both local and international investors and operating under the regulation of the Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA).
