crowdfundup
Information by Research TrustFinance
Crowdfundup was an early Australian property crowdfunding platform designed to democratize real estate investment. The company's mission was to provide a transparent and accessible online marketplace where a broad range of investors could fund vetted property development projects, which were traditionally accessible only to institutional or wholesale investors. Despite being an early entrant, the platform's operations were hampered by Australia's regulatory environment at the time, which did not permit crowd-sourced equity funding. In March 2016, Crowdfundup was acquired by the construction firm Growthbuilt, and the company (CROWDFUNDUP PTY LTD, ACN 165 491 556) was officially deregistered by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) on May 3, 2018.
