Established in 1953, the Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation (CUDGC) is a Treasury Board Crown Corporation of the Government of Saskatchewan. Its dual mandate is to guarantee the full repayment of deposits held in Saskatchewan credit unions and to act as the prudential regulator for the province's credit union system. CUDGC ensures the strength and stability of Saskatchewan credit unions through proactive regulation, monitoring, and by providing an unlimited guarantee on all deposits, a feature unique in Canada.
